Chef Logan Ring

Classically Trained | Globally Inspired | Sustainability-Driven

Raised in rural Southern Illinois, Logan Ring learned early that great food isn't about expensive ingredients — it's about patience, skill, and respect for what you have. That Depression-era "no-waste" philosophy, instilled by his grandparents, has shaped every kitchen he's led since.

Logan's career has taken him from the country clubs of the Carolinas to Caribbean resort kitchens with Club Med, 18 months cooking and studying fermentation in South Korea, and the dining rooms of Manhattan's iconic Pierre Hotel. Back in the U.S., he founded Pig N' Vittles — a BBQ catering business that earned the coveted "100-Mile BBQ" designation, awarded to fewer than 20 establishments nationwide.

Now rooted on California's Central Coast, Chef Logan brings a global palate and a Southern soul to every dish — combining technical precision with a deep respect for local, seasonal ingredients.

FORTRESS FLIGHTS PROGRAM

A collaborative tasting experience

In partnership with our sister business, Fortress Custom Crush, we invite you to explore a rotating selection of wines crafted by a collective of talented, small-production winemakers. Each flight is thoughtfully curated to highlight a range of varietals, regions, and styles — bringing together diverse expressions of California wine under one roof.

Unlike a traditional tasting room, this program brings multiple winemakers together in one shared experience, allowing guests to explore a broader range of wines, styles, and stories in a single visit.
